WHO ENDORSES WORK OF TKCI

Following on from the successful opening of the Tej Kohli Cornea Institute, the Tej Kohli Foundation were delighted to receive a personal letter from Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director of the World Health Organisation (WHO). The letter congratulates and expresses appreciation for the Tej Kohli Cornea Institute’s mission of combating corneal blindness both in India, where the centre is located, and globally.

By initially donating USD $1mln dollars towards the continuation of this work, the Tej Kohli Cornea Institute (TKCI) has been founded in partnership with the L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) in Hyderabad, and its medical team represented by Dr Virender Sangwan.

The Tej Kohli Foundation would also like to take this opportunity to thank the World Health Organization for their kind words.
